Brickmakers
Every day of the year, except during the monsoon season, in remote villages all over India, groups of families gather in communities to make bricks at large factories. All generations help to take charge of the whole factory production together. This is a view of just one of these factories and its people.
This photo series was exhibited at the Somerset House in London in 2015 as part of the Sony World Photography Awards after being shortlisted on the Lifestyle Professional Category.
It also received Honourable Mention in the International Photography Awards of 2015 and was exhibited in Los Angeles, U.S.
These images won the World Nomads Travel Photography Scholarship in 2015 and took me on assignment to Nepal with Canon Master Richard I’Anson.
